It’s time for Summer!
I bought a bolt of white silk last week. I’ll be starting work on my wedding dress next week and promise to post photos of the process, it should be interesting. Rest assured, I’m not going to use an entire bolt of fabric on my dress. I am much too practical for such excess! The rest of the material is going towards my new summer line of dresses.
I’ve done about ten design sketches, all easy fitting breezy numbers for bike riding and patio partying. I’ll be posting them every few days. Please let me know what you think of the designs. I could start taking orders next week, for delivery in May. My plan is to hand dye each garment, the colour palette is still in the works, but I’m hoping to work with natural dyes. I’m also planning on dying my wedding dress when it’s all over so I can wear it all the time.
I’m also getting prepared for a trip to England and have a plan for an ultimate trench coat. I bought some crazy grey nylon, and peachy lining a few years ago that I’ve been saving for just such a project.
